- Upgrade your old iPhone to the latest iOS
- Backup/transfer keys from any authenticator apps like Google Authenticator
- Take a screenshot of the Home Screen so you know how you arranged your apps
- Log out of all apps
- Disconnect your Bluetooth devices
- Unpair your Apple Watch, AirPods, MagSafe Wallet and AirTags
- Disable Find My iPhone for your iPhone
- Rename your iPhone to “Old iPhone”
- Erase your old iPhone
- Start up your new iPhone, login to Apple and upgrade to the latest iOS
- Download your apps and login to them
- Pair your Apple Watch, AirPods, MagSafe Wallet and AirTags
- Remove “Old iPhone” from your account
